Our idea and project

The redevelopment project of the rural business "D'Angelo" is meant to give a non-committal glimpse of some development perspectives.

It puts emphasis on the estate's points of strength, such as the relatively short distance from the sea and its elevated geographic location above the surrounding hills (in an area named "Acquaviva") which makes it a well-aired, sunny place. The property is also relatively close to towns and cities like Ascoli Piceno. This adds value to it as a destination for tourists who are interested in history, local culinary arts and entertainment and who want to enjoy, at the same time, the charming atmosphere of a farmhouse where the time stood still.

The estate will be refurbished and further developed in order to make it suitable for rural tourism purposes. The development plan includes restaurant facilities, 40 beds, apartments, a swimming pool and several panoramic terraces.

A multifaceted project

Our plan envisages the creation of a business that will combine wine production, accommodation and tourist services within its 25-hectare property. There, it will be possible to eat in a typical Italian restaurant; to sleep in comfortable rooms with all amenities on a B&B basis, suitable for families with their pets. Moreover, our guests will be able to enjoy our outdoor facilities, such as swimming pool, horse-riding, the Museum of Wine and Peasant Civilisation.

Modernity and tradition

Also, there will be apartments with indoor gym and sauna and a conference room for cultural events.

All these facilities will be built up from scratch, respecting the existing patterns and using traditional materials (clay-bricks) as well as modern ones (weathering steels and glass).

The farmhouse is located in the hills of the local community of Tronto (Comunità del Tronto), surrounded by extremely pleasant and rich landscapes, renown since antiquity: a priceless heritage called “Terre del Piceno” (Piceno’s lands)

Sustainable architecture

The premises will also incorporate many elements of sustainable architecture such as radiant heating, insulated glasses and a rainwater harvesting system. The estate will be subdivided into two main areas, one dedicated to production (from the vineyards to the wine cellar) and the other one dedicated to hospitality services, ranging from the parking area to several farmhouses. The winery, that is our point of excellence, will be supplied by the vineyards planted on the surrounding hills, which will start producing within 3 years. The whole project will be implemented in line with a business plan that confirms its viability.
